To let you know a little about me, I was living in Northern India in 2006-2007. I went for 1 month and stayed for 8 months! I was offered a photography teaching position at a Western Sikh boarding school, Miri Piri Academy (, the day I arrived and was also given an opportunity to make a PR video for the school. How could I say no? (though I had never even touched a video camera though I'd always wanted to learn) This was an opportunity of a life time. This was a chance to see the world through a different lens. It was the most amazing experience of my life: painstaking, hard, blissful, challenging, and filled with so much love. I learned so much and fell in love with India all over again! (I had been there to boarding school when I was 5 and also in 2004).

As I was getting ready to leave, I began to think back at my time in America. I realized that I wanted to create a positive, healthy, well balanced life for myself. I decided that when I came back to the US, I needed to pursue something I truly believe in. So, I began to connect to the locals and research their crafts. I ended up in the villages of Kashmir, India, surrounded in the art of this tucked away culture. The Kashmiri people hold a close place in my heart as I know that the region has suffered severely from the effects of terrorism. I went to see the families who make the shawls and rugs (sitting there spinning the loom and stitching the designs) and was impressed by the spirit of the people. I was so inspired that I wanted to support them by sharing their craftsmanship with the world as Fairtrade items.

I am also on a journey as a woman to learn to develop, love, and nurture myself as a Goddess. I've learned that if I surround myself with beauty, then I invoke that aspect within me. So, what better way to express that than by bringing back beautiful items that evoke the inner Goddess and share this technology with you and your loved ones.

My intention is to support humans in expressing their beauty, creativity, and grace by offering these exquisite items to you at an affordable price.

Thanks so much for your time and I hope you enjoy invoking the Goddess within.

God Bless
Gurudarshan Khalsa

P.S. We offer items to Wholesalers. Please email if you are an established business.
